Running - Road 47:10 [3] 9.75 km (4:50 / km) +150m 4:30 / km
slept:10.0 shoes: New Balance N1024

Felt OK after a long sleep and a few drinks last night. School Rd, Lydgate, into Ranmoor via the treacherously slippy alley, up to Sandygate, Crosspool, Cross lane, Crookes, along Walkley, down to Ruskin park and up Springvale.

Running - Road 1:19:30 [2] 14.1 km (5:38 / km) +190m 5:17 / km
slept:8.0 shoes: Inov8 RocLite 320

Slow run, but felt far from easy. Bole Hill, Tunnel, Millpond, Rivelin, Rails Road, towards RivRocks, but got muddled and took a path way too early through an ankle-breaking field. Straight up to the top of Fox Hagg (steep), and back along the top, stables, Crookes. Felt decidedly gash.

Running Intervals intervals 36:00 [4] 8.1 km (4:27 / km) +140m 4:05 / km
slept:9.0 shoes: New Balance N1024

Felt OK when I set off, so decided to do some easy intervals to break me in.
2x(5on,2off) along walkley & walkley bank took me into rivelin. Pretty easy.
4x(2on,2off) up Rivelin. Bit slippery at times! This kicked me out at the A57.
3x(1on,1off) up the coppice track. Tough, but got me to the bench.
Lovely weather for running. Feeling good, intervals felt a bit like what intervals should feel like, which was a bit of a shock the the body! :P

first vaguely intervally session in 10 weeks - i.e. the week before BOC.

Running - Road 20:00 [2] 4.05 km (4:56 / km) +25m 4:47 / km
shoes: New Balance N1024

Jogged in via Sandygate, Lydgate, Mulehouse and Slinn street. Lots of kids about, why must they scream piercingly down my ear?

Running - Road 1:00:50 [3] 12.65 km (4:49 / km) +160m 4:31 / km
slept:7.5 shoes: New Balance N1024

Feeling a bit better today, but not back to normal yet. Took some fairly random routes. Through Ranmoor to Bingham, along the bottom, throwing in some (~10) 10s efforts, up Crimicar - OK but not great - and back through crosspool and an effort up Lydgate, down Springvale.

Don't know if the feeling pants is a hangover from the Saunders, or not drinking for the last 3 weeks. As I felt fine immediatly after the OMM I didn't think it was the saunders, but the heat may have made me react differently.

Running - Road 1:21:00 [2] 15.15 km (5:21 / km) +220m 4:59 / km
slept:8.0 shoes: Inov8 RocLite 320

Good weather for running today. Out from Gridleford Cafe through Haywood, and along Froggatt, Curbar and Baslow edges to Wellington's Monument. Than back along White Edge, past The Grouse and back through Haywood, all rounded off with a chip butty, yum. Still feeling as though I can run quite quick, but that I'm putting in more effort than I should be for this speed. Nice run with most of the climb at the beginning. Did have to bail over a wall at one point when there was several tonnes of raw beef with swinging balls on the public right of way. The sheep in the adjacent private land looked more welcoming...

wet, muddy, scratchy, slippy, undergrowthy O in Norfolk Park. Peversly good fun though.
