Note

Ever since the date of the concert was set I was a bit hacked off that I wouldn't be able to race at Nottingham, but never mind - not as if I'm elite anyway :P Looked at the RouteGadget though and it looks fantastic! That said, the day was excellent anyway, no longer have SingSoc committee commitments so it's all revision and ShUOC from here onwards.

Bike (Road) 19:40 [1] 6.1 km (18.6 kph)
slept:6.0 shoes: Claude Butler Trail Ridge(Bike

on the bike to Ranmoor and back for the last time to help put the stage up for tomorrow. After then I'm no longer involved in the SingSoc committee which should free up some time/cut some hassle.

Running - Road (Road) 26:30 [2] 5.15 km (5:09 / km) +80m 4:46 / km
slept:7.0 shoes: Asics somethings

Needed to go to Tesco. Looped there via Walkley, Crookes, Lydgate and Crookesmore Road. Legs weren't enjoying the Crookesmore after last nights road-downhill stuff.
most definitely walked home with a full bag or 2.

Running - Road race (Tiger's Todger) 41:25 [4] 9.26 km (4:28 / km) +240m 3:58 / km
slept:7.0 shoes: Inov8 RocLite 320

As the starter's whistle went I was tying Mark's Shoes, so had to rush a bit to get out onto the road and then get past a lot of people who would slow me up in Limb Valley. Felt OK throughout - pleased of feeling good up the Hill in Limb Valley. Slowed a bit in Lady Canning's, but kept Neal (who passed me) and others in site. Then all downhill (pretty much) on track and road. Took a few people before Long Line, then picked off Neal, kept some youngun behind me, reeled in the group ahead of me and took about 8 in the last 300m. Standard Nic tactics!
Know I can go faster, good start to the season though, looking forward to (at least) 4 races in 6 days next week, maybe 5 in the whole week!

Warm up/down 10:00 [1]
shoes: Inov8 RocLite 320

actual warm up and an actual effort at a warm down!

out to Ranmoor in drizzles, back in drizzle and dark on pavements as I have no lights.
