Running - Road 1:38:00 [3] 18.0 km (5:27 / km) +580m 4:41 / km
slept:9.0 shoes: Decathlon Kalenji Kapteren XT

Got woken up in time to go to church... so went back to sleep to wake up later and go for a run.
From home, through the estate and up Laneside Road. Then followed various bridleways across Chinley Churn and through Hills Farm to Peep-O-Day. Past the quarry and skirt around the bottom of Mount Famine to South Head. Up and down here, then down Dimpus Clough. Across Coldwell Clough before heading down Tunstead Fields to Bowden Bridge. Quick (OK, not so quick) poo stop before heading along the Sett into Hayfield before tootling back along the SVT.
Lack of grip due to shoes meant skittery slow descents.
Fairytale of New York

Note

Spent day slobbing, learning the new car, and buying lots of crisps whilst on a wild goose chase for beer in Glossop.
Also - despite eating about twice the recomended daily intake of calories, since summer I've lost about 3kg. Sweet!
Mum says I should put some weight on now...

Running - Road (Sticky run over Kinder) 1:53:00 [2] 17.0 km (6:39 / km) +560m 5:42 / km
slept:7.0 shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw 330 'O'

Managed to turn off the alarmclock in my sleep due to a severe lack of sobriety. Got picked up by the sister to go home, and she dropped me in Edale so I could stumble home (pretty slowly at times) over kinder.
From the Nags Head to the top of Golden Clough then along the Edge path to the top of Grindsbrook Clough. From here the better idea may have been to take the edge path further, but thought Kinder may still be under permafrost. It wasn't. Took a rubbish bearing and ran in a wiggly zig-zag somewhere near Crowden Head, where I got stuck with both legs up to mid-thigh in peat in an area mum says she doesn't go even after a drought!
Anyway, hit the river kinder just south of Kinder Gates, follwed to the Downfall (which was, as ever, was doing the opposite). Then along the west edge to Sandy Heys and down to the bottom of William Clough. (This wasn't as fun as it was meant to be :( ). Then up White Brow to Chad's Cabin, down past 20trees and a saunter home along the SVT.

Distance and climb from OS map. slight guess as not entirely sure where I went whilst on top... http://www.mapmyrun.com/route/gb/norton/3967631800...

Note
slept:7.0 (rest day)

Stayed up until 2.15 watching Snooker and Poker. Why? (did see a marvelous recovery from the shortest of short stacks however)
Really wanted to head out to the peaks with (the majority of) ShUOC, but PR came a calling and I had to go and sing my Christmas Charity single (HA!) in Bar1, which was a state. I never intend to go to Union Xmas Day.
Oh well, I'll make up for it. I intend to get sis to drop me in Edale on the way home on Friday, and I'll toddle home over Kinder.
Oh, and the Sausage and Bacon butty from round the corner is also an awesome meal...

Running - Road warm up/down 27:00 [2] 5.3 km (5:06 / km) +70m 4:47 / km
shoes: Asics somethings

Don't know how much sleep I got, don't even know when left leadmill, let alone I got in. Hungover today, but found that the place round the corner does a bacon butty with about 6 rashers in it for £2.20. May be visiting that a bit more often!
anyway
up/down springvale, active recovery between reps. Felt great running at this pace and downhill as well.

Running - Road hills (Heroes) 20:54 [4] 3.5 km (5:58 / km) +390m 3:50 / km
shoes: Asics somethings

3 reps of Heroes. 2 dropped out before we started, 2 after the first one, and Rhys joined us for a bit as well. Only Magic, High Gay whos name evades me and I were heroes today! (and Magic went for an extra rep after as well!)
6:42 (~150m from top)
6:52 (~200m from top)
7.20 (to the top)
mainly focusing on being a bit more economical with movement and keeping legs springy, as that makes me feel like I'm going faster.
Slow times, but considoring how I felt when I surfaced at lunchtime, it warrants the 4 maybe?
