Note
slept:8.0

yeah, done nothing all day apart from a bit of work and a lot of procrastination, including reading wiki articles on all the UEFA 5* football stadia...
Left hip feels funny every now and then. All in all not felt in the mood for going out. I did end up at my friends night last night :P
Trunce tomorrow. Should be fun. Hope I don't die on the road... may wear the road shoes to make it easier, but that depends on the amount of Mud going on lsewhere on the course.

Note

Spent the day getting a good mount of revision done. Will go for a run tomorrow. maybe...
Meant to be going to a band/club night a coursemate is putting on, but it's not my kinda music and I can't really be bothered. May nip down, or may just say I'm ill... could do with getting used to early nights/early waking up...
1 of the housemates has already left because his exams have finished. Honestly, it's not even as if Medicine is a real subject!
spent a bit of time looking at the maps from EOC. Some of those areas are fucking crazy!

Running - Road 52:00 [2] 5.44 mi (9:34 / mi) +162m 8:45 / mi
slept:7.5 shoes: Asics somethings

Felt a bit poo, and full from all the junk I've been eating, so decided to go into rivelin to work up an appetite.
It's worked a little bit. I still feel a bit poo like, but I'll manage to eat something.
Felt desperatly unfit, which is odd seeing as I wasn't feeling too bad 2 days ago.
Think I'll have a few days resting and NOT EATING SHIT.
like that'll happen!

anyway, Picture of Rob's mum here...

Note
slept:10.0

The idea of intervals sounded like too much effort, so I decided to go to Tapton and watch McAvoy films and drink cheap Cobra beer with Papa Eugene.
My hayfever tablets are drowsey, so after waking up at 12, I promptly fall asleep again at 3ish. meaning revision isn't great...
Eaten far too much today.
All the housemates will have left by the time my exams start, so I'll die of boredom. Or, I may pull my finger out and go for a few runs/do some serious revision!
It'd be an odd world!

Orienteering 50:00 [3]
slept:10.0 shoes: Decathlon Kalenji Kapteren XT

Bit of damp hare and hound with faz and danger. 8 majjigers, some easy, some hard, some involving some swimming. Still, was good to get out of the general grind that is sitting around doing nothing at this time of the year. Many nettle stings etc.

Running - Road warm up/down 20:00 [2]

there, back, and in between.

Running - Road 16:00 [2] 2.0 mi (8:00 / mi)
slept:9.0 shoes: Asics somethings

Run down to arts tower, then half a loop around crookesmore. Couldn't be bothered with the whole loop as am lazy. Did enjoy the inversion layer on Conduit road though...

Running - Road hills (Arts Tower Chalenge XII) 2:23 [5] 0.1 km (23:50 / km) +90m 4:20 / km

Arts Tower Challenge XII
Wasn't going to bother with this, but Danger told me I was an evil person if I didn't turn up, so I wolffed down an apple by means of sustinence and desided I'd go for it.
Once again it was tough, and we all raced together this time! But I felt better, so ran all but 1/2 a flight of stairs I think. Danger pulled away at the start, but I managed to catch him up at the end,1sec behind him and beaing my own pb by 7 seconds! (This also means I dragged the guy behind me up, so he beat his pb by 25 seconds!)
Considoring the lack of food and water in me, felt good! (if you can do that when doing the ATC...)

Note

Tried out the Paternoster Shuttles on the way back down. They're easy. Only did a few mind, before my feet didn't like the jumping. Dave and I suggest a Paternoster "Shuttle Relay" - 2 people in each cabin, one goes out and back, taggs the other, who has to do the same before the cabin goes through the floor.

Run from home to Station to meet with Fazza to go to YORK!

Running - Road warm up/down 7:00 [1]
shoes: Asics somethings

Yog to start with Rob

Orienteering 15:00 [0]

The 'TrailO' part of the York City race. A 10 second penalty was added to your time for the actual race for every mistake made. I made 3, including the one most people made (the one with no controlin the middle of the circle), so I had a 30 second penalty, meaning faz was 20secs ahead of me.

Orienteering race (York City Race) 39:35 [4] *** 4.9 km (8:05 / km) +10m 8:00 / km
spiked:14/19c shoes: Asics somethings

York City Race (time includes 30 second penalty)
All in all, a good race. One large mistake on number 3, where I ran a fair way past the hedge with the control (but the more experienced guy behind me did the same, but realised his mistake a bit quicker...!) Other than that, needed to be lead into number 5, and there was a bit of fannying at 9 and 14, but probably only lost a max 10 seconds at each.
Once in the roads and 'Snickleways' (15-19) though, was pretty slick and made no mistake. Although the Huge Manatee meant I cut up a few grannys, especially between 15-16. Caught Fazza up en route to number 19, which was nice
Could have run quicker, but the first 8 controls involved a lot of running and was warm, so that tired me out a bit. 3-4 and 6-7 were a lot longer in real life than the straight line!

This is what methinks I did...
