Usual last day before a trip busy tying up loose ends, magnified by being away for 3 weeks and one project going into manufacture. Managed to pack in about 10 minutes, and clean the house, and leave the project in a better place than it was 3 weeks ago when it combusted (blame supply chain). Feels like first holiday in ages (house move, house hunting, wedding, dragons back and db training don't really count as relaxing) and well required after the last couple of months.

Lower Borrowdale English Champs 48th.
After the last couple of months this was a good day out and I am pretty pleased with the result considering. Felt quite strong (running whilst others walked) but missing a bit of gas. Was off the back of a pretty decent pack I'd like to think I'd be near the front of but just meant I could pick the best lines. Nice bit of Donkey Derby with Jack and Saville who yo-yo'd a bit more than me. Popped out at the last cp with Sarah, Sharon and Nicola amd decided to get out of there before things got ugly! - nice to decend with purpose again.

Great Lakes 3 Day with Hannah - a wedding present from the Spaniards. 3 decent strength-building hill days and a good reset. Came out feeling better than I went in and refreshed a bit of fell craft. All big ridgy days out with minimal tricky navigation, but still visited a few places I wouldn't normally get to (e.g. the directisimo line to Great Bourne). Plenty of shiny new trail shoes (that are basically road shoes in a different colour), useless poles and bloody Vaga caps, but the longer course meant that we were on our own quite a bit.
