Bilsdale. Up to Urra Moor with Hannah, then down to Chop Gate, up cock howe then back over the Cleveland Hills. Put in a few uphill efforts mid way to soften the legs up for the last hills, which worked. Moving ok on the flatter bits but steeper bits a bit of a struggle.

Generally found it difficult to spot gaps in hedges/walls on the map. Will do some proper O in the lakes but not bothered about urban/sprint unless it's on my doorstep. Not travelling for 'big' events.

Blake Fell Race, 10th, +4min decent field.
Fairly sensible tempoey pace up to gavel, then pushed a bit harder to Blake before the descent where I gained 2 places on the Pen traverse. Feeling alright, something to gain on the ups - let the group ease away but just focusing on myself, not really racing others at the moment. All good for the moment and great fun.

Commondale Clart - 1st. Man it felt good to be back racing again.
Good to get some feedback on the reintroduction of training. Kept honest on the skate out and managed to eek out a gap on the boggy stuff on the way back and keep it smooth on the fun single-track.

It's not quite County XC or trigger but some good feedback.

I feel like I'm starting to get a bit of mojo back and keen to get back into proper training in after 3.5 months easier post DB. I just need to make sure I don't get eyes bigger than my belly (I sort of want to do every kind of session possible in the next 2 weeks!) and build up sensibly - there's no important races until April at the earliest, and being careful with my body will be required, especially as we'll soon have the stress of moving house added in.
