Lake Ranch Reservoir. Hot: upper 80's, felt rather stifling. Not good for any sort of serious run. Hamstrings and especially glutes were sore anyway, so took it pretty easy. Felt decent in the third mile, but slowed a bit after that. Still, would be nice if a run at this effort would come out 1 or 1.5 mins faster.

Lake Ranch Reservoir. Legs felt pretty lousy in the morning, but 50m into the run I thought I was going to have a decent run, and I did. Stayed with L, who was running a bit faster than recently, to the far side of the lake when she said she wanted to slow down and that I should go ahead if I wanted to, which I did. Picked it up to where I felt like I was moving well but not straining, though I could definitely feel my glutes on the way back. Best run in a while, though still a long way from where I'd like to be.

Skyline, flat part by the tree farm, 10 laps. Legs do not feel good at all, decided to wait until tomorrow for a workout, but overall had energy and wanted to do something. Hamstrings and gluts very tight, just jog at a slow pace.

Sequoia Retreat Center, Ben Lommond, CA. As part of Sarah's wedding Weekend, Geoman made a short O-course for people to try. I walked it pretty fast, even jogged a little on the downhills where walking would've been harder than just letting gravity take over. All on trails, a little trouble on #1 until I got a better idea of what was on the map and what wasn't, but otherwise nailed everything. Quite steep, and with temp over 80, broke a sweat despite the very modest pace.

Skyline. Too soon after breakfast, but had to hurry back for an 11 o'clock. conference call. Legs still tired, some congestion in lungs (left over from very slight cold I had a few days ago), but try to force the pace just a little on the way back. Almost two weeks since the last time I ran, and it felt that way, i.e., uncomfortable,
