Moving day. Much lifting and carrying, but no training. Started at 7am, finished (including cleaning up the rental) 7pm.

Felt v tired and sore so planned a nice slow one. But ran into my friend Dave who was on his "easy" run at 4.35 / 4.40 pace so it ended up being not easy and slow!

4 x (1000 (1'), 600 (1'), 400 (2')), with 1000 @ 10k pace, 600 @ 5k pace, 400 @ 3k pace.

This hurt a lot! But in a good way. Went pretty well except for the last 600 and 400 where I blew up a bit! Probably was a little over-ambitious on the first 2 sets. Aiming for 3:45 pace, 3:35 pace and 3:25 pace. Bit on my own unfortunately, too slow for the boys and too fast for the other girl, but I enjoy running on the track anyway because you can still see everyone and encourage / get encouragement from everyone.

Didn't make it to the squad session tonight so just did the same session on my own. 30min Fartlek-ish, with the "on" parts not too hard, only around tempo / surge pace. Felt pretty good actually.

Orienteering race 1:00:01 [4] 8.06 km (7:27 / km) +260m 6:25 / km

Autumn Series race at Glenluce. Nailed all the controls in the control circle except one, but my actual routes were a bit bung, particularly on 7, 10 and 14 (either going wider than necessary or dropping and climbing more than needed). The one I didn't nail was 11, to which I aimed off to the erosion gully to the left but when I got into the gully I thought I'd accidentally hit the feature dead on, when in fact I'd gone way too far left. Lost ~2min.

Tried to take this reasonably steady but I think I lost a bit of motivation toward the end.

Tacked a jog onto the end to make it a long run. Got to run 4-5k on the Goldfields track which was nice. Still feeling quite good at the end.
