Well, I knew I was out of shape for running. This was not a race, but just a fun run (to benefit the new non-profit organization trying to save my childhood camp - Furnace Hills Camping Association.) And it was pretty small, so there was no real pack to pull me along. At the end they told us to go the opposite way from what we had originally been told, which would have made things too short, so I continued on the little loop of path that went further, which then made things a little bit too long, but close enough for government work.
