Lebanon Valley Rail Trail, from Lebanon itself almost to Mt Gretna and then back. The majority of the outward journey was uphill on a slight grade, but that mean that the return trip was pretty fast. Passed the root beer barrel but it was closed (and I didn't have any money on me anyway).

trail run 30:44 [3] 2.13 mi (14:26 / mi)
shoes: Asics Gel-Excite 3

I decided to try a plain old run on a soft, flattish trail and see how it felt. (Really the C25K first week walk/run pattern.)

First of all, the trail was toooo soft. Very muddy, and on this clay type soil it made things slippery. So I wasn't moving very fast anyway.

All the soreness and tension settled in my back just above the left hip and stayed there. But once I was done and got back to the car and sat down, everything felt great. Go figure.
