Orienteering race 1:10:39 [3]
shoes: VJ Falcon

FVO club champs on Hermitage and Dumyat, started nice and late which meant the full force of the foul weather was just starting as I got out onto the moor. So by the time I had stood around for 7 mins at #12 looking for the control that was hidden in the reeds in the wrong place then I was frozen, the only reason to keep running was to get off the fell and out of the wind. Just tootled round the last bit in any case as there wasn't much point in racing, 30s behind Lard coming out of the forest, finished 13mins behind!

Note

NYC marathon full results now available. I was 1688th at halfway and passed 532 people in the second half, with 42 people passing me (and 18 of those going on to break 3 hours). Actually passed more people than that in the second half as I started giving places back big time in the last three miles, 50 people passed me in the final 2.2km.....

First flight to London, had my kit but by the time I left work and got to hotel it was 9pm so no enthusiasm to get out there......

Note
(rest day)

Too busy at work for intervals so made my apologies to Tom and James at lunchtime. Quite glad as it was foul outside when I did leave work!

Pilates 30:00 [2]

Suffering again with a stiff back, think my ITBs are partly to blame for it but I need to get on and get it sorted out fully now the marathon is done.

Circuits 30:00 [3]

I am quite good at the hopping one....relative to how well I do the fifteen other exercises that is!
