Orienteering race 39:54 [4] ***
20c shoes: VJ Supra, sz 11

JK relay, Newtyle. M120+ with Tullster and Alan. A solid run - with Ben Stansfield for the first part, up the hill and around the butterflies, then solo. Ended up 2 mins off 3rd against some strong teams.

Orienteering race 2:04:53 [4] ****
29c shoes: VJ Supra, sz 11

JK Day 3. M21E classic at Craig a Barns. A long tough one, but maybe not quite as tough as expected. Some superb orienteering. Was going well until mid-way where went through a bad patch on 10, 12, 13. Just couldn't seem to go the right direction in that area. Lost about 10 mins. Tired towards the end. Got in a bit of a train for a while then pulled away from them over the last few. Very glad to have run 21 as enjoyed the variety of length and didn't embarrass myself too badly.

Orienteering race 40:29 [4] ****
20c shoes: VJ Supra, sz 11

JK day 2, M21E. Middle distance at Dunalastair. 5.1 km. Started early with the other unseeded folks. Had a very good run technically. Pretty much clean all the way except maybe a couple of banana routes. Very enjoyable terrain and a nice course. Quite a bit off the pace ultimately as Scott Fraser romped around in 29 mins.

Orienteering race 15:48 [5] ***
21c shoes: Inov8 roclite 315, size 11

JK sprint, Livingston. M40. A fun, varied course with nothing outrageously tricky. Was pleased to spot the backtrack route out of 4 - not sure if anyone else did judging by the splits. Screwed up near the end where the skate park completely threw me. Just didn't register that it was the olive green on the map and lost 30 secs in confusion, dropping 2nd to 7th. Ah well.
