Loch Earn circuit plus Glenoglehead. Dropped Jamie off in St Fillans then went to the pub oops no for a spin on the bike. It seemed like a good idea to try the old railway westward towards Lochearnhead, but the track rapidly degraded and by the time I got to an escape point on a logging road, my back was so jack hammered that I duly skulked back to the tarmac. When I got to LE I decided to do a dog leg out on the old railway to Glenoglehead; after 30 years of looking across at that beautiful viaduct when driving though Glen Ogle, this seemed like a golden opportunity. Steep climb out of LE but lovely gentle gradient along the cycle track. Back to LE, then back to St Fillans along the south side of the loch. Bumpy road, was glad of my cushiony tyres as the early abuse had taken its toll and my back was complaining by now. Delightful spin back to the car and a bacon roll

Very smooth spin on cushion-like gravel tyres to Torrie & Micro Braes, home over Hill of Row. Bike in tip top form, legs feeling decent, too. My back definitely prefers having some time to move around in the morning before jumping on the bike; today it was totally fine until the 75 minute mark. Progress.

Feeling pretty bust this morning. Sore knee, sore back... at least that meant that I was up extra early due to the discomfort, so I had more time to limp/shuffle around.
