Note
(rest day)

After 3 consecutive nights of less than 6h of sleep I'm just way too tired to do anything...

Event: 25Manna

2 PM

Running warm up/down 20:00 [1]

15'+5'.

Orienteering race 45:00 [4] 6.1 km (7:23 / km)

Last leg in HS2. We got a DQ in the 6th leg so I was just running for fun. I got myself into the competition mode well anyway, even double-punched some controls if I didn't see the light. Took a "bad route" to #1, lost maybe 2' there but otherwise it went well. I actually really enjoyed this woman against woman thing in the forest.

When I got back from the forest there was only my bag where there used to be two club tents and lots of people. I guess the others felt bad for leaving me behind when they rushed to the Helsinki ferry because they had paid for my dinner and breakfast on the Turku ferry. So I mmmm mmmmmed at the buffet in the good company of me, myself and I.

Jogging 1:18:46 [1] 10.62 km (7:25 / km) +169m 6:52 / km

Super easy (tourist=stopping to admire the view every now and then) run from Meilahti. It was a gorgeous day (very windy though!) and so I decided to also run around Seurasaari while I was at it. I think it's one of the most beautiful places in Helsinki and I have no idea why I've been there only a couple of times before. The sea and the nature - that's what Helsinki is all about! I <3 Helsinki :)

Note
(rest day)

Long busy day... Went to see Le Havre after evening work. It's maybe the best Finnish (and by Finnish I mean Aki Kaurismäki) movie ever! Anyway it's in French and I was so proud of myself when I understood even some lines that weren't translated.

#1 Maybe I should get my eyes checked or get stronger contact lenses. I was in the right place but saw the reflector only the second time I was standing in the same place...
#2 & #3 Easy piecy.
#4 Temporary insanity. I was supposed to follow the path and go straight along the line but a light drew me down too early. At that moment it felt like a good idea.
#5 Wanted to go down earlier but again the lights drew me towards them.
#6 Sneaked away from #5 so that others didn't understand that I already found the control. Open area = easy close to #6.
#7 Too easy.
#8 Didn't want to take the path choice. Didn't really look at other options and ran more or less without a plan...

I was quite slow again, but I also liked running alone most of the time - makes a better o-training. Would/could/should do this more often if it wasn't a 1h drive.
Also didn't really feel like running full pace today and that was probably a good idea concidering 25manna. I'll be running the last leg in our second team and I'm actually quite excited about it! :)

Running 35:00 [2] 5.5 km (6:22 / km)
ahr:147

I sent the final results of my experiments to my boss in the morning. After 2 months of staring at and sometimes even dreaming of excel files, they are now done. Sure I'll still need to do some little things like write the whole damn thesis but at least I now have the results... So I just wanted to boot my head and went for a run in a light drizzle. It was a bit chilly in the beginning so had to run a bit faster first. Legs feeling quite stiff after yesterday's training. Did some calf exercises by the monument and a few spurts along the way.

Cycling 15:00 [1]
