Ski 30:00 [3]

Just a short ski today. Had a very bad night and took a long while to get moving. Went up Blue Calf and Freedom and skied back slowly with everyone else leading the way. Glad I got out but was very shaky on my feet.

A little bit of snow overnight made things lovely to start! Took it much easier today by letting Aoife head off on a mission with Sophie. A few easy runs around Guthega early (one hard bit was my route choice to the cafe - not to be repeated!). A rest while I had a meeting sitting i. The snow. Then a bit of time with Nat and Al and their girls before catching up with Aoife for lunch. Fairly late finish in the end on tired legs again. Not as cold as yesterday.

First ski day of the year and I was certainly put through my paces. Twice down excelerator on day 1 was twice more than I ever hoped for. Legs lactic on second run and never recovered for the rest of the week. Good fun and ok conditions although a few icy and patchy places. With Aoife’s friend Sophie and her family for a lot of the day.
First time at lodge as members.

Another short one but good to get one foot in front of the other. Beautiful sunrise and would have been a relatively warm morning if there were no wind chill factor.
