Right, so I am pretty confident that I am officially over the brain fog. That didn't make my orienteering any better, but now it is just out of practice and sloppiness.
To start with, I was running quite nicely (I was thinking) to number one which is a nice change. The problem was, I was running down hill and made a parallel-sh error once I got to my (not) attack point. 2 was a bit right, 3 was OK but slow. 4 was the long leg. Big route choice and I chose right. In hindsight straight would have worked fine for me. Anyway going right I intended to use the clear forest and avoid the climb. Unfortunately you had to go a lot further out of the way than I did to get the clear and so I was in green and kept choosing the up option. So I traversed the steep slope. I think I did this reasonably OK, but at the end got ahead of myself and totally messed up the end of the leg. Wandered aimlessly for quite a while and eded up way too high. 5 I overshot (too low), 6 was good, 7 went under some rocks instead of over and got trapped too low. 10 had trouble spotting the feature. All in all, a lot of scope for improvement. Surprised to be ONLY 19 minutes behind Tash. 10 minutes was about what I was expecting if I had a good run. and this was far from that.
Should be ready for QB3 hopefully...
