Picked a better route and better time today and enjoyed the run. Ran up Willans Hill, was a bit rushed at the end as I spent too much time on dilly-dally stops to decide a route (or take a track that petered out) and then suddenly realised that I was not going to make it back in time for Aoife's match. Got there part way through first quarter but she had been off until then so I hadn't missed her playing.

Now its a long day as after 4 rounds her team lead their pool and we have to play the final at 3:30pm...

Run was really nice area but quite rocky and tracks washed out so did one ankle twist and a few saves. Could not stretch out once I turned back down from climbing.

Urgh. Feeling like a bit of a lily after melting down. In Wagga for a water polo event and games at odd intervals all morning meant I waited until late afternoon. Had thought a run along the river would be shady, cool and scenic. But, what I expected to be a path through trees and parkland was actually a glaring white concrete cycle path with no shade whatsoever :(. Tried a couple of times to run a path by the river but the first petered out and the second ended up submerged. The river was wide and flowing fast, but at least 2m below the level where it had obviously recently been.

Not sure whether to attempt something similar in the morning, or get in the car to drive further afield…

Early morning from Stromlo. I wonder how long until I actually see the sunrise in a clear sky up here. Usually the sun only comes out from behind clouds once I am sitting in the pool hall and there is nowhere to hide... Anyway, feeling OK today but did the shorter version of the longer-ish run. Made it all the way up the hill but did stop for a little rest once at the top. Also saw a could of bike riders on the lower trails for the first time.
