Long run with Nat. Felt stiff, sore and slow the whole way. Seem to have done OK and very impressed we ran this far and this long.

And planned on rogaine last night, but it was cancelled. Beautiful morning, hint of autumn with some fog in the kangaroo paddocks early.

ACT Sprint at ADFA. A bit of a reading challenge and even my brand new glasses couldn't deal with all of it. #3 looked 50-50, but the way I went had a level change that really threw me off. I wasn't the only one who struggled here. Also some mapped stairs looked like and impassable wall to me so really had trouble working out where to go. This happened a few times through the course, sometimes I took a gamble and sometimes ran around. After the debacle of 3, where I even used my compass (!) I again struggled on 4. Needed compass again (I can't believe I actually thought to look at it) leaving 3 as was still bamboozled. Then had trouble reading location and actually locating 4 when I was there. Finally got things together after that, but suffered from some of the random unmapped taped off sections going to 7 and 13, and hard to read passages (8, 9, 11, 18, 19). Took a few gambles one these later in the course and fortunately they all paid off. Won, but did not deserve to after a run like that.

Aoife did well on her course too, it was a bit of a rush, straight across from netball at Charnwood to get here, and that was after a pretty physical game that resembled more of a boxing match than netball. Team held it together OK although didn't score much.

Again, a run after swimming due to a few schedule rearrangements at last minute. Sat and watched a webinar instead of running and decided it was a bad choice (whereas last week I should have done the opposite...).

Anyway, still not going too well up hill. And got about 50 spiderwebs in my face. See all the stops in my trace for locations of a few of the worst of them. I kept deciding to stick to firetraps to avoid them, then getting tempted by the fun single tracks, only to regret it.

Pinnacle with Nat and Indi. Got a bit wet but not badly. Better than if I'd gone during swimming... Feeling a bit weak, could not keep up with Nat and Indi up hill.
