Warm up run. To the sprint. Started out feeling good but that only lasted for about 8km. Shannon amd Kathie passed us in the arboretum and quickly motored out of sight! Really spectacular running conditions again.

Orienteering 26:06 [3] 3.88 km (6:44 / km)

Sprint at St Judes primary. A good course ruined by some closed gates :( it was a bit longer than expected and I was pretty slow. Worst mistake was 21. A few poor route choices right through the course - having trouble reading ahead.

After very limited sleep and lying in uncomfortable position I was very impressed that I made this today. Felt ok too!

Sunshine ride in the middle of the day. Cutting it a bit fine for 1 pm meeting, but made it home at 12:59. I should have turned around earlier but was enjoying myself too much. A bit muddy and a lot of grass about. I thought that would give me the sneezes and sniffle but all good. The NL problem was I swallowed about 5 bugs.

Run 32:34 [3] 5.7 km (5:43 / km) +11m 5:39 / km
ahr:149 max:181 shoes: Kayano 25 Black

From gym with Nat. Felt surprisingly ok.

Thought this was better than last week but the results say otherwise! Just a few mistakes, slow to 1, A bit low and uncertain to 6, lost a bit of time (almost 2 min) at 7, went for the saddle rather than top of creek and then turned the wrong direction. A bit slow again on 9 and 10 just trying to find a clean way through the timber. Then lost time on the last bit into 12 after I overshot the attack point slightly. Then I think I was just slow slogging through the weeds to the finish. A bit low for 15 because the vegetation was too much to push through! Beautiful running out there apart from the prickles! Suffering a dose of heat stroke again. I know, I know it isn’t actually hot but I am obviously acclimatising! Weak.

Enjoyed my time in the sunshine despite my poor condition. Just beautiful!
