Walk 1:01:58 [3] 2.64 km (23:28 / km) +115m 19:17 / km

A pre flight walk up behind Eoin's Dad's. Our fist time up here in 5 years... Looks quite different after a heavy fire has burnt a lot of the gorse, finally saw "the pond". It would be an amazing place without the gorse, but I guess it keeps most of the riff riff away. Must get up to the top from here next time.

Run race 1:05:46 [3] 7.68 km (8:34 / km) +469m 6:34 / km
shoes: VJ Irock 2

This year’s Hill race - Seefingan. Much less ambitious than last visit but still tough on virtually no training.

Felt a little compelled to do this one, I hear a lot about this mointainand Eoin owns the world’s ugliest trophy for the final of the four peaks we visited today.

Started at the back but found myself mid field after 200m due to an optimal route across the fence compared with others. Then in a Congo-line up Seefinn. Found Aoife near the top and she was still looking for her geocache so stopped and helped her. Managed to set off again a few minutes later in 2nd last place.

From there it was totally enjoyable - incredible views, lovely running conditions, great fun tearing down the soft bogs and even the last bit of eroded fire trail worked well for me. I fell over just getting to the top of Seahan. There is something about me and granite outcrops in Ireland!

Ecstatic to make the top 100 ;)

Jog 33:16 [3] 3.24 km (10:17 / km) +40m 9:40 / km

Epic warm down back to the car... it was well after 9pm by the time we got there.
