Cycling 40:00 [3] 8.0 km (12.0 kph)

2nd cycle session of the day, this time with Aoife on her new bike. Heaps better fit and we made good progress around Narrabeen.

Cycling 1:22:00 [3] 36.6 km (26.8 kph) +440m
shoes: Sidi Road

Getting serious and starting training for Huski 50 over a month before the event! To Terry Hills and back with Eoin. Resurrected the official route of 25 years ago and came back through Terrey Hills. Quite windy and I was reasonably happy with the effort of first ride for the year. Obviously a huge amount of work to do to become a cyclist again but I have done something.

Run 40:56 [3] 6.09 km (6:44 / km) +66m 6:23 / km
shoes: Kayano 20 Purple

Failed run attempt, it was slightly cooler after the thunderstorm even though the ground wasn't wet. I didn't run well at all and opted to walk the end with my hamstring getting tighter by the stride... Felt woeful all evening as well, as though I'd run more than twice as far. Not inspiring.

Orienteering (Summer Series) 45:30 [3] 6.5 km (7:00 / km)
shoes: Kayano 20 Purple

An ok run, a bit slowed down by turning on SI units, then saw a snake leaving 12 so had to wait for it to be scared well away, then stopped to say hello to Aoife who was playing in the park where 8 was, near school. Then I was tired. Ran quite steadily to manage hamstring and it did not seize up but definitely still aware of it. Hip has benefitted from a week off.
Route was ok, could have made some refinemts but ran the nice tracks :) 430 today after losing 10. Might have been able to finish on time of I'd really wanted to but couldn't be bothered trying and poossible hurting myself.

Great innovation to have the map emailed to pre-entries beforehand, gave me something to do while waiting for my late phone meeting to begin!
