Enjoyed today, felt woefully unfit and did my usual meanderings on spur/gully but held it together. Worst leg was 2-3 where I had a good plan but did not follow-through with it and made the worst of both options. Really nice forest and felt great running, just very tired and unfit. Need to run with studs, slipping all over the place.

Took Aoife and Lily on the VE course. Was surprised Aoife asked to go, but found out it was because of the lure of chocolate. She had fun anyway which was especially fortunate after she was the first to miss out on a chocolate in the cave... I could not keep up on the 250m run from the assembly area past the finish to the start. It was a fair bit easier keeping up going from the start, past the finish and 10m past the assembly area to the first control. Got around without any major dramas. Lily was very patient waiting for Aoife at each control and Aoife did not get too upset being left behind between controls.
