shoes: Mizuno Wave Rider 14 Yellow

Early run, did quite a bit of streets to avoid too much mush, didn't really succeed. Took it quite slowly and managed all OK. I am definitely getting old and creaky and all my joints felt the effects of a long time not doing much running.

Water and mud virtually everywhere, but a very lovely sunny morning to be out!

Another run, another downpour. Today would have been an ideal opportunity to rinse out my stinky, muddy shoes but they were at home still drying out from last week.

Not too bad a run in the conditions. Pleased to get the first stair segments out of the way before the storm hit, nearly came a cropper coming home, slipped just before the top of one set of stairs but managed to save myself by grabbing the handrail and landing on the top step.

Home 2 minutes early as my GPS has stopped showing elapsed time for some reason and I had to guess.

Very sub-standard "sprint". Did not get my mind on the job after the patronising lecture I received beforehand.

I need to learn to concentrate on just the course.
