Orienteering (Turkey Trot) 1:45:30 [3] 17.38 km (6:04 / km) +252m 5:40 / km
shoes: Mizuno Wave Rider 14

Turkey Trot. The run was physically a bit harder than last year with more climb and less route choice, but I think I took it a bit easier, especially at the start, and was able to handle it much better (2km shorter definitely helped). The orienteering was more straightforward than last year. Much more fun running with company - Paula, Tracy and I ran together and it was a much more enjoyable experience, really didn't notice the distance adding up and was pleased that their presence made me run up all the hills I would normally have walked. Tracy won the route choice/execution competition, Paula won all the hill running style points (especially down hill), I won the "this is the most polite sprint I have ever seen" competition.

Felt quite good running for the first time in ages.

Note Garmin had a fit during our toilet stop and added 2km on a trip out to Macquarie Island plus 12,100m of climb.

Met Paula, Tracy and Anthea in the park for a short run - resting up before tomorrow. Along the road to Paula's track, across the top of caravan park, back down to the river and along the riverside track to finish.

Much needed session. Feeling better and hopefully my running will improve with a bit of movement on my left side now..
