A nice jog in the sunshine. Feeling quite bad again in the morning (head this time) but recovered by lunch time.

Pram-teering 1:13:11 [3] 8.0 km (9:09 / km)
shoes: Saucony Omni

A bit of an epic for a summer series. I should have turned around and gone home after:
1) the lady in front of me at daycare took 10min to buckle her kids into the car - with me blocked in behind her with the engine running;
2) I tried to take a few short cuts to avoid traffic but only got caught behind people doing 30km/hr; and
3) there was a 'no right turn' at the major road I needed to turn right on to - meaning a 10 min deviation in the direction of home...

Started well but there was not much to do on the streets so I thought I'd venture down to the trails. I covered 2.7km in the first 14 minutes so was quite pleased. I almost covered 500m in the next 14 minutes. I started out wrestling the pram down a few rock steps etc. It ended up being a relay ferrying Aoife and the pram separately, in stages. Some pretty rugged cliffs to get down (and the return up for the next item) and had to slide down a few on my bum which was fun carrying a 3 year old and then a pram. Also had to negotiate a log bridge and stepping stones across the creek at the bottom. After a few fits of despair at being abandoned and prickled, Aoife seemed to take it mostly in good humour.
The next section of trail had looked promising and I was able to run a few times, but again there were a fair few rocky bits that required walking. I abandoned Aoife a few times to go off track to get controls and she didn't mind too much. The worst bit was when she bit her lip on the water bottle as I ran over a bump - so walking required over bumpy parts from then on.
Finished 29 minutes late (that's 290 points lost!), quite tired and nearly rolled the pram cornering around the tennis court to the finish.

The good news is I felt OK and am now looking forward to starting training again. Back to the physio for some more shoulder treatment tomorrow. I think I've probably managed to give him a bit of work to do.
