Orienteering 1:27:00 [3] 9.0 km (9:40 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X Talon

Revisiting Wattle Ridge was not a great experience. Lost 15min on number 2 - almost unbelievable! Wasn't too far off, but unable to put the map together in my mind so went of on a fruitless wander. Halfway back to 1 and then back to where I had been previously. This time tried to make better sense of things and managed to stumble across the control. Was very timid approaching 3 (not the way to go in this stuff). The rest of the course was OK. The most significant remaining time losses were attributed to twisting my ankle just after 7, stopping to adjusting broken ankle brace on the way to 8 and 9, and finally stopping to take the thing off on the way to 10.
Made it back barely in time for Eoin to start.

Run 41:30 [3] 7.0 km (5:56 / km)
shoes: Saucony Omni

Lane Cove NP loop. Great sunny day - so warm I wore shorts and a singlet.

Run 1:18:00 [3] 13.5 km (5:47 / km)
shoes: Saucony Omni

Calf a bit better today, took it easy and stopped for stretching after the uphill sections. A bit underpowered and a few breathing/sinus/ear problems - hope I'm not finally getting Eoin's cold.

Run 12:00 [3] 2.0 km (6:00 / km)
shoes: Saucony Omni

2 aborted attempts at running. Bad calf strain - no stretching after yesterday's run ...very bad me.

Cycling 50:00 [3] 22.0 km (26.4 kph)
shoes: Sidi Road

Needed to get outside and enjoy the day so dragged my bike out of the cellar, wiped off the mould, oiled the chain and off I went. 2 laps of Lane Cove which is much faster these days with a nice new hot-mix surface. Felt pretty weak (as usual after many months of no cycling), the hills were killers but overall it wasn't too bad. Left leg still a problem :(

Run hills 35:00 [3] 5.1 km (6:52 / km)
shoes: Saucony Omni

Dripping wet all day so took a while to convince myself to go out.
Did 6 hill reps of the gravel fire trail hill in Lane Cove NP. Intended to do 6 then thought I might try 8 but didn't recover well after the 5th and cracked on the 6th so made it the last one. The hill is 210m long, so shorter than usual.
