Orienteering 1:04:01 [3] 9.32 km (6:52 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X Talon

Sydney Series event at Soapy Flat. Much more switched on than last event - luckily! Ran quite well today and enjoyed myself. There was a bit of a weird start where we did a 2.5km loop starting on some of the easy controls but getting a bit harder at the end, then a map change to run the equivalent of the Red 2 course so I can compare with Eoin which which is good.
I was getting tired towards the end, no major time losses - a bit on 7 and 8 for the first loop, then 1, 7, 11, 12, 13, 14 for the second but they were all minor. Had to do up my shoe lace at the 3rd last control - will tape them next time.
It was quite cold and wet - felt treacherous in rubber soled shoes probably need to revert to studs for this type of weather.

Run 1:31:30 [3] 14.7 km (6:13 / km)
shoes: Saucony Omni

To the national park via Valley View, up to De Burghs bridge via Great North Walk, back along the Riverside walk for about 1/2 way then the road for the rest, up Grosvenor track.
Pretty wet and very tired by the end, glad to have worn long sleeves as my hands were frozen.
The Riverside path was quite runnable, much nicer than expected. Will do the whole thing soon. Was all very speccy with the sun rising through mist in the valleys.
Tib post tendon sore, will tape my foot for next long run.

Run 39:00 [3] 6.8 km (5:44 / km)
shoes: Saucony Omni

To the National Park & home again. Managed to get saturated 200m from home (on the way out) but it stopped raining again pretty quickly. The ground was pretty wet (again). Some clearing has been done on the Grosvenor Rd track so I managed to run all the way to the top, only stopped at the top of the cliffs to admire the view.

Right ankle a bit twingy from twisting on Sunday. Left a bit crepititussy, hope its not the shoes...
