Run 1:00:00 [3] 10.2 km (5:53 / km) +150m 5:29 / km
ahr:155 max:169 shoes: Kayano 16 Purple

Cooler but still extremely humid - I now agree with the rest of my family that it is possible for humidity to exceed 100%. After today am positive there is no way I could ever go back to Brisbane & anyone who trains there is superwoman.
From Fingal, along the sewer line track to Big Rocky and back along the coastal path. Had to walk a section of the trail coming back to avoid any spider incidents. Am getting much better at anticipating their habitat and looking up, but this section was just too infested.

Run 1:14:00 [3] 10.2 km (7:15 / km) +260m 6:26 / km
ahr:151 max:168 shoes: Kayano 16 Purple

Glad I had a couple of rest days. Still not feeling 100% but at least I'm moving. A hot humid slog (again) with quite a few hills. From Fingal along the bike path, the fire trail around the back of Shoal Bay, up Tomaree and return the same way. Walked quite a few of the hills (especially steep and sandy ones) and should have made 11km but stopped short (at the surf club) on the way back.

Pram-teering 46:30 [3] 6.5 km (7:09 / km)
shoes: Kayano 16 Purple

Summer Series at Boronia Park. Should have stayed out of the parks and stuck to the streets as planned. GPS says I was stopped for 7 mintues - that's a lot of uphills and standing around dithering and trying to get the pram down stairs... Only crossed Pittwater Rd unnecessarily 3 times, should have tried harder.

Run intervals (UTS 400s) 36:00 [3] 6.3 km (5:43 / km)
shoes: Kayano 16 Purple

Nice new shoes felt great. I think the old ones were pretty dead because I felt 10cm taller when I put these on.
8 * 400m, times a bit slow but I'm blaming the oval for part of that. Lack of training, no stretching and being tired are good enough excuses for the rest. 6th was a bit slower but think that was the wind.

Started and finished some a bit late as I was using the GPS and had to guess and check each time I thought it was time to go or stop as the sound has now completely died (Garmin tells me this is because I wore it in the rain - well where to you expect to take a GPS if not outside???). Am considering getting a new one and donating this one to Eoin.

Orienteering race 20:38 [4] 3.1 km (6:39 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X Talon

Sprint Course at UTS - how's this for convenient - 5 minutes walk away, start right next to Aoife's day care! Again I didn't do very well, but the bush detail must have put a few others off and brought the field a bit closer to me. Thought my Sydney bush-fear have been cured after the first few controls - then just before 8 I ran through a spider web and ended up with the spider crawling up my leg. Not a great moment ... Needless to say I had no plan for 9 and lost a fair bit of time. Great course.

Orienteering 12:00 [3] 2.0 km (6:00 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X Talon

Collecting some controls and jog home.
