Women's Matilda Bay Triathlon - 2 min slower than 2 years ago & reasonably pleased with that. Rather than feel stuffed in each of the legs I planned to go comfortably - I think the swim training made the difference as I did freestyle for over 3/4 of the distance and only resorted to breastroke to see where I was going. Took the transitions leisurely and consequently didn't fumble as much as I have in the past. Even had a long conversation with the nice man who came to tell me I broke the rules by unclipping my helmet before racking my bike. Cycling was comfortable after the swim (usually I'm dead at this point) and done with the subsequent run in mind so didn't kill myslef, which is my usual tactic here. Did 32km/hr overall which could have been faster, but could also have been slower given the training I've not done. The run was hard to start with but I settled into it and sped up towards the end without feeling any different. I think I didn't push myself too hard which aided my efficiency and I probably did better than if I had gone too hard.
