I was even worse that last week. Gave Miles the opportunity to sneak back past me on the Bigfoot rankings. I might have even qualified myself to run Div 3 next time.

hamstring tight but OK.

I remembered what to do. Just an easy spinning lap of the park after the rain cleared and sunshine was glorious. Hamstring annoyed even at gentle pace so kept it short and came back earlier than planned.

It has improved during the week but I am expecting it to be annoying tomorrow.

Today was amateur hour (and a half). Got confused on the way to 1, did my first ever major 180 out of 6 and completely missed the last control. These 3 errors cost me over 10 minutes. It was tough going again today but I felt stronger. Hamstring giving me grief when tripping over stuff and could not run when we had a few path options. Pleased to have made it around after contemplating not starting. Did not make the full drive home and had to pull over on Lady Game Dr for Eoin to do the rest.

Very rusty and weak. Spent most of the course waiting for Eoin to come past, he did at 10, right where I jarred my hamstring so got no benefit from him being there. Messed up 3, went past 4 on the way and couldn't see the control in the green, it looks like I messed 5, but that was just slow up the hill. 7 was an almost disaster that I somehow got away with. 8 and 9 were disasters that I did not get away with. The rest was slow. Its so long since I've run let alone in the bush I had shaky legs as soon as the going got tough, could not even run down hill properly. Thick scratchy bush too. Despite all this, I did enjoy myself, just frustrated with my ability.

In Canberra to pick up Aoife so took Eoin around Bruce Ridge. The ride and fresh air did a fantastic job clearing ears and sinuses finally.
