An epic day out. I wish I could find the recount. I managed to find these references in a search.
Looks like about 6.6km return and 620m climb if you just go to the top & back. One of the best/worst runs of my life:
http://connect.garmin.com/player/53015423 Baking hot sunshine for the most part, wild thunderstorm for the descent off Bluff Knoll itself. I did believe I was going to die out there, most likely death by emu strike, and have my bones pecked by the eagles a few times. I set out intending to do the entire fenceline track followed by the ridgeline track. Decided to shorten it - found out going cross country was crazy. I lost my map in the impenetrable shoulder high eucalypt forest climbing back up, then ran out of water. The ridge track was virtually completely overgrown. The swedish tourists I saw on the summit of Bluff Knoll had probably never met someone so pleased to find another human on the planet. The scenery and flowers were spectacular.
