Swimming warm up/down 22:30 [1] 1.0 km (22:30 / km)
weight:162.4lbs shoes: Bare Feet

Nice swim (had a hard time motivating, glad I did), they had the center 'divide' out, so it was 50m laps. Much more pleasurable.

Followed by 10 min in the sauna. Why do guys (only guys do any of this) come in the sauna and: tap their feet, huck & snort snot, sigh, and/or mumble under their breath? Or (much, much worse) come in straight from a workout with their running shoes and sweaty clothes and sit on the top bench with their shoes on the bottom bench? It was not quite the soothing event I was looking for ... but the heat was good.

Orienteering race (Warwick - Red) 49:49 [4] *** 4.11 mi (12:07 / mi) +738ft 10:22 / mi
spiked:17/19c shoes: Inov-8 Mudclaw 265

Clean except for 4 minutes on #13 and a bit more ... somewhere else ... I blame Balter, as I saw him on #10 of the flip-flop controls (grumble) and got too excited. I didn't even see the trail option to #13, which means I was red-tunneling ... but more importantly didn't pace as planned which would have kept the damage to a more reasonable minute or so. Grr. But I had some sweet downhill rock run splits and am not un-pleased, having just edged out Tom_O and ErikEddy! Leader of the second pack again I think?

My new glasses made me invincible. Gear was right, and it needed to be to keep the pace. Cool!

Superbly beautiful day, great woods, love that park. Wish I was in better hill shape -- mostly mentally.

Orienteering race (White with gals) 50:27 [1] 1.41 mi (35:47 / mi) +105ft 33:26 / mi
shoes: Inov-8 Mudclaw 265

Awesome time with the gals! Robin is fearless and seems to hit every rough root and rock on any trail. :) June has incredible, excited spirit in the woods. It was so nice getting out with Juliet!

Beautiful day! HR fail (didn't goo it).

Ironically, after 1.75 hours at FCW with only a tiny poke in the eye, after my run today when I was getting dressed and putting my jacket on I somehow swung the jacket's zipper pull straight into my eye. Ouch. Saw red! And now it feels like there's something in my eye, the sure sign of a scratch. Son of a ...
