Time for 42k around the streets of Stockholm again. Learned the hard way that it if you're going to run a marathon it is not the best preparation to out of running the last month.

Had a planned that I followed for the first half, not caring so much for the people around me. Passed halfway at 1:14.21 according to plan. But already somewhere between 15 and 20k my quads started to give up, and on the empty roads on djugården the legs died. Stopped and chatted with elin while taking a gel at 28k and decided to continue the race but just in an easy pace to get to the finish. At 30k the right calf started to cramp also, but went quite ok until 36k. Stopped at the city hall and got some cola, and managed to drag myself to the finish from there, but I guess it didn't look pretty. Last 2k it felt like everything in the body cramped.

Never really went out of energy, today it was the muscles that got weared out. I guess the saying that it is the miles that count maybe not always is true but for marathon it is very true. And the milage during May didn't really prepare me for this.

So after all I am pretty happy anyway that I managed to get through the race without problems from the calf,.
