10MILA!

Got up from bed about 2:45AM after a long and nice sleep (~40mins). The team was fighting in the lead so felt that this was going to be a fun morning. Had changed leg with mattias yesterday since he had some problem with spring allergy, so mine 6km had changed to 16km instead.

We lost some time on 7 and 8 but after Mattias had flown around the ninth leg I went out as number 5 with only 30s up to the podium. Started hard and caught the two teams (Vekhaladen Veikot and Södertälje) on the way to the first control. Took initative directly and had södertälje behind me a couple of controls before they had shorter gaffel. Continued to run good but made a little too long route choice on a longer leg and was caught by Therriy in Kalevan. Stayed behind him since I felt it was no point in trying something else. At the spectator control I heard that Göteborg with Haldin was only some two minutes in front, but was quite suprised when we caught him at next control in a green area. From there the pace was raised quite much by Swisscheese in VV, but had no problem to follow. At the control before the last TV-post in a green area the others made a small misstake while I and Kalevan took the control, then Therriy set of in full pace and I had no chance to follow. But neither had the others and I could take the team to the finish in a nice 3rd! place. A very fun race, and fun competiton, and comparing my resume with the others I can't be anything but satisfied with my performance. But next time it is our turn!

Elite-series sprint race outside Helsingborg. Forest-sprint with the first part in some ravine area, second part in a more flat and diffuse area. Made a really good race, except for the first control where I lost about 10s. Finished 3rd, 11s behind Hramov and 5s behind Emil W. Really satisfied with my race.

Påsksmällen road race outside Södertälje. Decided in the morning to run even though the legs felt quite bad, but hoped that they would feel better during the race. But no, totally empty after 1km, but I am quite satisfied that I dragged myself around the course in a decent pace. Good tempo training at least, something that I have been missing the last couple of weeks. Finished 4th, 1.5min behind the winner (my time 25s slower compared to 2007 when it was much worse conditions)
