Orienteering race 19:24 [5]

Wished I could start the race again when I ran wayward reading off wrong hill to the first. Fine from then on in but hard to push my tired legs in the heat. Want to get closer to Andy Simpson's times by end of series - he has been consistent and that's where I should be. Great playground - will be coming back for sure. Julie lives nearby so I dropped by with a spare chair she needed afterwards.

Warm up/ down 5:00 [3]

Trying to get those legs into action.

Orienteering 2:40:00 [3] 23.0 km (6:57 / km)

Great training session thanks Andy! Us girls took it more as a long run, than a race making it quite social. One of my longest training runs - 23kms. Cut of some sections that the boys and jennycas did. Actually out there for 4 hours, 1:20 was stops between "courses". From Roseville, down Blue Gum Creek, into Chatswood West golf course beside river below our house to Aths track, Blackman Park, Burns Bay, Pottery Green, Naremburn, St Leonards, Wollstonecraft and ending up at Balls Head. Tops!

Running 13:00 [3]

Scored a lift into the city and ran from cnr Hunter St & Phillip St through Hyde Park to work.

Running 12:00 [3]

Jogged from work through Cockle Bay to Aquarium then up King St to Clarence. Slotted straight onto a bus, when my neighbour on the bus told me he had to wait 30 min. Sweet! (For me anyway).

Running intervals 55:00 [4]

Was going to have a rest day, but joined Malin in her track intervals... Tiia was taken off our hands to a Wizzy World Playdate, and Malin and I pushed the boys in a double pram down to track. We sat the boys in the longjump pit with their sand toys (not that they stayed there long), and did 8 x 400m. We ran the first together, but since Kari cried the whole lap, we did the rest as a relay. They were happy then. Was frustated not to break 1.30 (ran 1.31 and 1.32s) but busted a gut on the final one to run 1.24. Pushing that pram uphill home afterwards was quite an effort. Good stretching for my calves though.
