Running long 2:00:00 [3] 21.0 km (5:43 / km)

Long long long run. Went out not quite knowing where I was headed, tried to get as much running on rubbish terrain as I could and this made it quite slow and also meant that I had alot of road running inbetween bits where I knew there were marshes and tussocks that I could run on. Went down to the beach for a bit though which was fun. Oh yea and there was alot of hilly bits.

Orienteering 1:15:00 [3] 10.0 km (7:30 / km)

Some welshy training on broughton burrows. Good for Jhis next week. Put out a control pick first, was steady but took me a while to get used to the map scale which was something funny. Then did a corridors course where I went out with the plan to run it really fast and I hit all the controls really well with only small hesitations. Then did a star course map memory, and collected in the corridor controls. Lots of running in terrain and getting a feel for sand dunes aswell.

Running warm up/down 30:00 [2] 6.5 km (4:37 / km)

Pretty steadyish warm up with quite a bit of stretching. and also cool down afterwards.

Running hills 35:00 [4] 6.5 km (5:23 / km) +500m 3:53 / km

Hills up steep hill jus by my house. was about 300m up with maybe 50m climb, but I'm rubbish at judging. Took roughly 1 15 each rep although my jog back down recover was getting much slower as I went through. Might have been because I was a bit eager on the first few and had very little recovery. Did 10 of them. Knee started to hurt a lil on the last few, stopped and stretched a bit and made it feel better then after warm down it was pretty sore so I'm riceing it as I type. Shouldn't bee too bad I hope. Hoping its just by body telling me to stop all this stupid road running business as all of today and most of yesterday was on hardish stuff.

Was going to put this as a warm up/down but kinda raced it a bit to beat my bro (who was on a bike but left after me), it sufficed to say that he was alot quicker than me, but still was fun and I fell good.

ahr:172 max:184 spiked:18/18c

DIY score in singleton park, 40 min score. Put out 7 and 8 and then had a really clean run, pushing when I felt I could. Know the area like the back of my hand though so not too hard technically.
