Jogging before and after bamford and down to weston park and shuffle home.

Running 35:00 [3]

Bamford sheepdog trials. Kept pace untill halfway up the hill but just couldn't stick it up there. Was about 40secs off ralph and jonnifer at the top and ralph got an extra 40seconds on the downhill. Kept the gap to jonnifer. Still felt the 400s from saturday a bit.

Ralph convinced me to athletics intervals. 6 x 600/300 but ducked out after 4. Legs just feeling knackered.

3 x 4 x 400, 90s rest, 4 mins between sets, 3km pace. Then finished with 10 hill sprints.

Did them on the 'flat' path in bingham, with ralph and treb, felt good. Treb was obviously training for alco after his lunchtime beer. Think we got faster through the session barring the uphill ones.

Ok so I did my Harvester trick today. Set my alarm but didn't turn it on. And then woke up at 7.07 anyway. So I think I used todays luck before the exam.

Ok so brain was a little frazzled from all the thinking its been having to do lately. Messed up 3 of the first 4 and lost maybe 10 mins looking for the flag on 4 and then just cruised the rest. Still made mistakes because I couldnt find any of the boulders on the map. Then 7 or 8 controls from the end I saw OJ behind me and decided I was going to stay ahead. Did so but in the process jumped a half a metre high uncrossable wall and ran 20m on a bit of road which was forbidden so Oli gets the win there. Didn't even notice it untill well after I'd finished.

Trunce. Really slow start and then was in the first group for most of it. Little rob got 10m on me going down the hill and I spent so much effort trying to claw it back but then accepted it and did a bit of coasting/looking over my shoulder on the way in. Good little race.

Middle mass start thing. Was going well at the start but lost a bit of time to GG and neil round the first butterfly. Didn't look carefully enough and missed the contour obscured by the circle. Then lost a bit on the second butterfly maybe 2 x 20s. Then no mistakes untill the end was just cruising. Caught Neil as he was going pretty steady and then GG looking for 24 and jogged in with him.

Orienteering 1:00:00 [3]

Harvester first leg. Had a different number one to most and was 4th out of the field but soon took first. Bit hesitant on 3 and 4 and then missed 5 a bit (maybe 40seconds total) but was always in the lead, then drew out a bit more of a lead and only lost time on 11 because the white reentrant had a load of windblown in (20s). Was fast and easy untill 15 where I didn't know where I left the path and messed about a bit looking for the stream bend. (2 mins). Got caught by Johnny here and was behind him from 16 to 17. Passed him up the hill to 18 but couldnt work out the vegetation and undershot and then overshot the knoll (1min). Then was clean through the next bit untill 23 where I couldn't find the gate and johnny caught me again (30s). Took alot out of him up the hill so he must be orienteering well out there. More mistakes than I thought, but it was very dark and only 2 big ones so I am pleased with this performance. Felt like I was running strong too which I havent felt in ages.

Lots of the boys struggled out there in the dark but ShUOC were only not in the lead for 1 leg and the boys did what they needed to do to send GG off to clinch it. The boys on the B showed us how it was done by taking a 25min lead out onto last leg.

Two sprint races round wherever. Didn't really push on the first one and made a 30second mistake on number two but then on the second one was in a massive group so pushed a bit, then made my break on 5 and 6 but didn't plan the long leg so lost 15 seconds on route choice to jonniffer. Cruised in at the end.

Little jaunt in new walshes before the weekend. Felt a bit sore in calfs when i started but soon loosened up and felt really light going up the hill in bingham, putting no effort in but really nice day for running.

In the gym for so long doing the force plate testing. Lots of jumping. Lots of standing around. A little bit of standing on a fitball.

Went to check out the cemetary for intervals and it is sooooo cool. Lots of paths and lots of scope for different things and load of cool obelisks and stuff. Very good shout GG. Then did a short session because my legs are feeling so heavy after weights.

Gym didn't open at 9 so had to go at 11 and do a shorter session to get to my lectures. Did all the important bits.

5 x 800m off 5min. Missed the start of the 4th one due to stomach issues.
