Horrible weather, wet and windy, and I modified the session because I wasn't going to be able to run what was planned.
6 x 1 km (200 jog), 6 x 200 (200 jog).
The planned session was 8 x 1 km (60 s) with reps 5-7 faster (<2:50) and the others controlled (2:55-3:00). I swapped in the 200's to keep an element of that faster pace and did a jog recovery so that I didn't get cold between reps.

Down in Wales for a 5 km. A flying visit again (~15-16 hours of driving for a 14 minute race) but nothing much happening in Scotland. A bit windy but more about getting one under the belt before some (hopefully) faster races in May/June. Felt strong but couldn't pick up the pace much after the pacers dropped out at ~3 km. Good first 5 km of the year though and really nice to be under 14 again.

Easy jog with 5 x 40 s fast. Managed to get average pace all under 2:40 min/km.

I quite like this session. It's not super hard, because I can take as much recovery as I like, but it accumuates a good volume of fast running. 40 s is just about long enough that you have to find some rhythm as well - rather than a 10-20 s sprint.

First session in a while where I have really wanted to hit a certain pace which is why I didn't want to run it in the wind yesterday. Would have been better on the track, but I measured out a 600 m stretch of cycle path to make sure it was repeatable. Happy with that.
