Jukola, really bad run, no confidence in myself in this terrain. Didn't back myself and got alot of jukolahead and made stupid decsisions. But had alot of fun.

Did 16 sprintervals which took 50mins in total to do, came to 1.15 with warm up and down, and then 15 minute sprint round some park. Feeling good with my orienteering but shit legs. Was moving quickly on alot of the sprintervals though which was good. They were all first leg practise, 16 segments of map running one control hard whilst planning the next. Did some of them as 2 controls hard though.

Legs still knackered from the weekend so didn't want to full on race it but to make it interesting put in a banter start to the first downhill. Got quite a bit of a lead on gg and rob but of course they were going hard the whole way. Then cruised round the course waiting for ralph to catch me.

Culbin long race, Going well at the start making only little misses but then went into the green with no real plan and lost 3 minutes and alot of motivation. Bit slow after that and came in 8 mins down on spongey and ralph. Tired after the long weekend.

Middle qually session on lossie. Lost 2 mins on the first one as couldn't make out any of the shapes and ran so close to it. Then was good, losing seconds here and there to spongey but no big misses. Was in a bit of a train with Ralph and Poo boy round the last few in the flat section and took the lead when they made a little mistake and kept it untill the end. A little bit of relay practise thrown in for fun there.

Relay session on Roseile. Mass start and was in the pack for the first 7, where we got a bit of a lead on ralph jamie and poo boy but everyone else pretty much there. Then spent a few minutes looking for 8 which wasn't there in the green. Me sponge, ralph and Poo boy were the first to decide we were right and carrying on and me and sponge dipped out of the green and back in but sponge missed it and I was a bit confused and got caught by poo boy and ralph. me and poo boy lead for a bit but then made a big mistake after crossing the railway line and was about 100m behind those two with the chasing pack close behind. Not a huge amount of motivation but when I saw Murray chasing me I started pushing harder and slowly started to reel them in. Near the end it was me Poo boy, murray and ralph in a spread out group and we dropped poo boy who was knackered and closed up slightly but I couldn't quite close the gap to murray and ralph enough to be involved too much in their sprint finish.

Also watched the USA fight to a well deserved draw with England.

Familiarisation on carste? was moving alright but a bit sloppy.

Sprintervals in forres, first one was easy, second one I hit two dead ends and got caught by poo boy and third one was a little scrappy and nearly got run over.

Sprint in Lossiemouth, ran straight from warm up into course as I was a bit too long warming up, but was fast through the first few and caught sight of poo boy at 5 who was slow on them, then it was just a matter of reeling him in, which I did by about 13 and then was just behind him untill the end. So complicated.

Orienteering 45:00 [3]

Gaffled middle on Ramsley? moor. Felt good on the bits that weren't tussochy and vertical. Lead through first three but had shorter gaffle and then speakey and gg boned me on the leg to 5. Felt really good through the short butterflys but the long loop felt so bad up the hill, and pansyed back down. Came to the middle control 10secs after gg and caught him going up the last big steep hill, but then had two longer gaffles letting him cruise into the finish with a biggish lead. Felt really good on the faster flatter bits which is a good sign, better than I've felt orienteering in a long while.

Looking forward to some sanddunes on the weekend.

Nice warm up and then plan was to do 5 x 800m 30s 100m. Got to 3 and my stomach was having words with me, so had to dash off home.

Round endcliffe. No huge mistakes, but did part in the wrong order so had to go back and do it right. took 14 mins and a few mins jogging.
