Run 23:00 [3]

Easy in the hood. Formulating plans to keep the good, throw out the bad, and continue the quest for world domination.

Orienteering 1:55:00 [3]

Batona 500: 13.96km in 1:40:52

Fast, fast, fast, KABOOM, KABOOM, fast, fast,...

Dang! Should of, could of, would of, if only... Well, the result is the result. No matter how you parse the SI splits, the AP pace computations, or the WinSplit mistake finder to make yourself feel good, it doesn't change the result. I think I need to see a sports psychologist, or maybe just get a brain scan; clearly something is misfiring out there in the woods.

Felt only average warming up but I seemed to get stronger as the race went on. Bizarre.

Batona 500: Day 1. 7.5 km in 56:14

Fast, fast, fast,..... KABOOM! Fast, fast, fast.

One bad control ruins the lot. However, there were also many good controls. It will take some effort not to focus on the boom but I'll do my best to also learn from what went right. Physically, feel average. Ab/groin thing tight at end but didn't slow me.

Stiff and slow on sprints. Ab/groin thing sore too. Just jogged them: Sprint A in 7 something and Sprint B in 12 something. Still fun. The more controls the merrier. Tried to be a good orienteer.

Row 45:00 [3]

South wind laps.

Run 30:00 [3]

Making sure I pack my running legs. Stretch break while watching LHHS JV football game.

Run 50:00 [3]

WU, 6x100 strides, 6x(200m h + 400m e), CD
(Comparable workout 12/8/05.)

Warm evening -- good for fast stuff. Had scheduled 8 but the 6 went well and this weekend will be busy. Decided less was more. Felt good and left with some reserve. Rest was 400'ish -- probably around 350.

200 h = 33.1. e = 1:53
200 h = 32.5. e = 2:00
200 h = 33.3. e = 2:05
200 h = 32.6. e = 2:09
200 h = 33.3. e = 2:09
200 h = 29.6

Row 45:00 [3]

A morning to be described by poets, which I am not. Moon, sun, fog, glass, reflections, trees turning, cool temps, pelicans... Physically not feeling particularly strong.

Run 30:00 [3]

Jog up to vote then around some more. Another day closer to oblivion. Oof.
