Really fascinating podcast that Neil Dobbs linked to in the Gueorgiou thread. Here's the link again in case anyone missed it. He talks about his four years coaching the Swedish team as the technical coach and what he is hoping to do in Finland as the head coach. https://www.hipcast.com/podcast/HMTPJ5q4

A short and then even shorter loop to put out the last of the stakes (except a few WY that I won't put out until the day of the event).

Round two of putting out stakes. This went well for a while and then I got tired and started messing up and then it was just a slog to finish. But I got it done. There's only a few Stumble controls left and then all the WY controls. But that won't happen for a few days.
I know we are up against several other events on Oct. 3 but I really hope people come.

First round of putting out stakes for the Stumble. While I really just wanted to stay home and relax, I had to be at the park to check us out of the Camp Daddy Allen area from the weekend. Since I had to be at the park anyway and it was a beautiful day, I decided to get started on Stumble stakes. It's supposed to rain Wed-Thurs-Fri and I really don't want to be out in the rain if I don't have to, so it made sense to get started.
I must have really been tired though. At about half the controls (I did 13), I was standing within 5 feet of the streamer thinking I was sure I had navigated just fine into the control, what could I possibly have done wrong, how could I not be in the right spot, oh, there's the streamer just above my head. And then I would spend 5 minutes trying to find a spot to hammer in the stake that wasn't solid rock.
The mosquitos were out but didn't seem quite as bad as last week. And it really was a beautiful day.
