orienteering 1:40:15 [3]

Green course at Hawk Mountain. Hiked the whole thing but kept up a decent pace. Wore my puffy jacket since I didn't think I'd be moving fast enough to stay warm and that was a good choice. My gloves and buff came off relatively quickly but only unzipped the jacket a little bit and had the hood up for a good bit. Too cold for me.

No real errors although I took somewhat safe routes.

Knee quite sore afterwards especially picking up controls. But it was fine by the evening.

Note

Helped with the scout program at Hwk Mountain. Some of those scouts were so enthusiastic. We had them go out in pairs and each pair put out one control for the night-o and they had to bring the streamers back to show they had it in the right place. Which they did!

hiking 1:00:00 [3]

Meadow loop with Sandy. Too lazy to go get my garmin and get the exact time and distance.

Note

Feeling swamped at the moment between school stuff, OUSA stuff, ESC stuff and DVOA stuff. At least school stuff will be over in a few weeks.

hiking 52:58 [3] 2.89 mi (18:20 / mi) +89m 16:43 / mi

Hike with some weights (only 6 lbs) in my pack. Will build up slowly. Maybe if I put it in writing I'll actually do it.

strength & stretching 50:00 [3]

Training with Melissa. Went a little over because there were a few things she wanted me to try. She's really determined to help me get better mobility and strength in my knee.

This didn't exhaust me quite as much but I picked a relatively flat route, but my knee did hurt the last couple miles, Had to get home though so just kept going, stopped to stretch frequently which seems to help a bit. Need to build that back up more slowly I guess.

That guy is still in his tent on the side of the trail and creating a lot of trash. I really think he is living there.
