map hiking 3:00:00 [3]

Putting out stakes and vetting controls for the Billygoat. I could have sworn the weather forecast had rain in the afternoon up there so I got up extra early to get started around 9am. At noon it was still gorgeous and sunny and had climbed from about 35F when I started to about 50F when I got in the car at the end. Here's hoping we get nice weather for the actual weekend.

map hiking 2:15:00 [3]

Visiting a few Billygoat control sites and putting in a few stakes. Amazingly, there was almost no snow or ice to speak of! I was stunned. And the rain held off. So all in all a very, very pleasant outing.

A hike around the meadow loop with Sandy in wonderfully nice warm weather. Neither one of us motivated to run.

Sandy gets the credit for getting me out the door this evening. She suggested we meet to run at 5:45 and we stuck to the plan. We did the meadow loop with only a moderate amount of walking. In occasional light rain but the trails are in pretty decent shape finally so the footing was pretty good. Glad I got out.

Note

I actually enjoyed most of the drive home on Sunday - but then once home could not get to sleep. Finally fell asleep around 5am for a few hours. Worked at home for the day but was somewhat useless and not at all motivated to do more than an occasional stretch, not even enough to log.
