Meadow loop with Sandy, mostly hiking but some jogging.

Then finally got around to cleaning up the zebra grass that I never cut back last fall and which had died and was breaking off and blowing all over my neighbor's yard. Still need to trim it back to the ground, but got most of the stuff that makes a mess.

Hill repeats. Not particularly inspired workout but my knee (below my knee; top of shin bone) has been pretty bad this week and I'm trying to take it a bit easy.

Trails were much better than I expected. I figured muck and slush everywhere but there were actually long stretches of nice trail.

Thought maybe today would be into the teens but not quite yet.

walk/jog 51:19 intensity: (1:43 @1) + (7:56 @2) + (2:56 @3) + (18:41 @4) + (20:03 @5) 3.14 mi (16:21 / mi) +101m 14:52 / mi

Decided to see if Forbidden Drive was any better than the trails and learned that it is actually worse. There are long stretches where it is at least 6 inches of thick ice across the whole drive with just enough melting going on to make it so my studded shoes worked but it was still tough going. The trails are a mixture of mud and snow and ice but at least there are bare patches pretty often so that it's more pleasant.

Walked down to the drive, slowly jogged a mile on the drive (Garmin says it's a bit longer but I think that's because I did a lot of weaving back and forth across the drive to get better traction in places, hiked up A-hill, then did a handful of jog 100 paces / walk 100 paces.

strength & stretching 15:00 [1]

Some major stretching and ab work trying to get my lower back and hip and butt to settle down and not ache. Am logging it to try and make sure I keep doing it.
