Putting out the rest of the stakes at HR for the rogaine. Was a little cold when I started and was glad I had thrown in a pair of gloves and a hat, but after about 2 hours I had peeled off all the layers and was down to a t-shirt. Great day.

All the streamers were still there although one had both ends torn/chewed off. I couldn't find one for the longest time - but it turned out I was just looking on the wrong side of the stand of trees. Oops. Definitely starting to green up a bit - got caught on thorns a couple of times since they weren't out in the winter and so I wasn't looking for them. But I'm getting fitter I think since I didn't feel quite as tired as last weekend. Or maybe the west half of the map is just less physical.

Saw another porcupine - this time really close. Maybe 15 feet or so. But it scurried away before I could get my camera out.

What a great map.

TNT - ran the Tyler trails with Dasha. I don't think she is able to run as slowly as I need to run to keep running and I kept trying to keep up with her, so there were several walking breaks up the hills. Ah well - that's closer to the way I orienteer anyway so perhaps good training for that.

It was a beautiful evening for running despite the drizzle. And Tom made a great Indian dish for dinner afterwards so all good.

TNT - interval workout with Sandy; Clem, Karl and Bob were also there.

We did a warm up, then 3 x (1mile hard, .5 mile recovery) and then hiked back up the hill. We were disappointed that our mile times weren't better than they were, but Karl pointed out we should be damn proud that we did the workout as scheduled. And Sandy has been having problems with side stitches which didn't help. Anyway, definitely lots of progress on what we can do so that's good.
