Putting out stakes for the Hickory Hop Rogaine. Gorgeous day; seemed odd to not be in the snow!

Got 22 out - basically the east half. Forgot my Garmin at home. It was about 8.5 km straight line between controls but I took some round about routes to keep out of the green when I could so covered more ground than that. It got hard to push through the laurel by about the 3rd hour and I thought about bailing early but managed to finish the planned loop. Only one streamer was missing. Everything else was good; I'm glad I hung some of the streamers high and I might leave them out for the event as it already feels a bit thicker than in the winter.

Not sure if I can do all the other stakes in one more day - we'll see.

TNT - with Dasha and Ann at Tyler while Tom ran over to Ridley and back. The Garmin didn't have satellites for a while so the distance is off by maybe a half mile or so. Ran the whole time - been ages since I've done that. I was definitely the slowpoke of the group but my goal was to go without walking regardless of how slow I had to go. Mission accomplished.

TNT - I am still mangling things with my Garmin. This time I thought I had stopped it but it was fine but I pressed a lap button too early and the workout ended before I got home. I'll add the rest in separately.

3 mile "tempo" run on the drive with Sandy with some warm up and cool down. Kept the tempo part under 11 min/mi. Would be nice to get that down to 10:30 or even 10. Could happen.

Karl, Jim, Bob and Clem also ran.
