A nice outing with Sandy at HR. Maybe 6-8 inches of new fluffy snow but the sun was shining and by the end of the day it was packed down to about 4. Jacket, hat and gloves in the backpack after about 5 minutes.

30 minutes of Power Yoga, followed by 10 minutes of stretching and foam rolling. Very tight.

pu: 20 & 10. Could not do more than 10 after the yoga dvd; too many chaturangas.

Could not get to sleep until 3am, slept in way late, did not go for a morning walk, called Sandy to see if she wanted company about a minute after she left she left her run, and was totally unproductive with work related things. Figured I could save the day from being a total waste by at least doing the core workout.

Ate a lot of pizza last night - very good but very salty. Took a rest day from the diet as well as exercising. Probably good for the soul.

TNT - Well, sort of running. The idea was to jog continuously for 30 minutes without walking at a pace where I could talk. Managed to do just that chatting with Dasha the whole time. Turns out it was roughly 11:30 pace. Interesting that it was a bit faster than the slow pace on the intervals on Tuesday - I would have thought they were about the same. Clem and Tom also there.

Well, phooey. I totally got the workout wrong - I was having trouble reading the spreadsheet at work and I thought I remembered that the workout scheduled for tomorrow was 30-40 minute easy run. I was going to do it today at TNT since I wanted to go to TNT and I really can't run two days in a row. But today's (tomorrow's) workout was supposed to be a 3-5 mile easy run.

Deliberately decided to take a rest day (as opposed to taking a rest day because I didn't manage to fit in something that I planned to do).

Finally made it to a dermatologist and have some cream for the rash around my eyes. May or may not clear up the rash, but at least the ointment makes the skin feel better. If there isn't significant improvement by Monday, he also gave me a course of prednisone to use. The fact that he gave it to me instead of having me call and request a prescription makes me think he thinks I'm going to need it.

TNT - fartlek workout with Sandy. She has a McMillan training plan to prepare for a 15k race and this was the workout she was supposed to do today. (Well, minus the spectacular fall on the ice that she took.) Having a specific workout to do was a lot more fun than just going down to the drive and slogging through some random running. Not sure I'll be able to keep up with the workouts but it's worth trying. Might get me in shape for the Billygoat.

Nice dinner afterwards with Sandy and Ann, Bob and Karl.
