Note
weight:127.4lbs

Yesterday was a stressful day and I overate and ate crappy food. Happy the weight damage wasn't more.

Note

The club gave me a very nice plaque as a thank you for NAOC at the meeting last night. I hope people didn't think I was ungracious - but I was a bit overwhelmed and just couldn't say anything. I should have taken the opportunity thank everyone who helped out and expressed how much I appreciated everyone's support.

orienteering 55:09 [3] 3.2 mi (17:14 / mi) +129m 15:19 / mi

Slept in this morning and showed up at the SCEE with about 15 minutes to go. So cool to go to an event a mile or two from my house.

A fun course by Vadim - mostly trails with a memory-o section stuck in near the end. Was not completely clean but cut corners reasonably effectively I think. The splits will tell. Didn't hang around to see results.

Temps were in the mid to high 20's I think and I finally dressed right for cold. Wore two pairs of tights and my legs were just right - warm without being constricted. Buff came off my head (and used as a nose wiper) about halfway through but gloves stayed on. I had a yoga top (to keep my belly warm), two long sleeve shirts and an oversize thermal shirt that comes down over my but to keep that warm. Unzipped the neck zippers but never felt overdressed. I ran some, walked a lot.

Busy work day but squeezed this in between a workshop and the DVOA winter meeting.

strength & stretching 40:00 [3]

Part of a Rodney Yee yoga dvd, some specific stretches for my knees and hips, some pushups and some ab stuff.

HR rogaine work. Met with the rangers to get approval - we did - and then did a short loop. It was 9F when I started but I was overdressed and had to keep stopping and adjusting layers. It was 19F when I finished. I went early to beat the snow and it's just starting to come down now that I'm safely home. Glad I decided to go earlier than usual despite the cold.

Cold as it was, I actually overdressed a bit! Also took my headlamp as it was dark when I started but then never had to turn it on.
9 PM

strength & stretching 40:00 [3]

Core dvd + some stretching.

Note
weight:127lbs

Will try to do something this evening but more than likely today will be a total rest day, the result of an early morning meeting and an evening meeting. Couldn't make myself get out of bed early enough to hike. Phooey.

hiking 39:12 [3] 1.84 mi (21:15 / mi) +124m 17:35 / mi

Brrr. But I dressed warmly and got out the door and that's what counts.

TNT - So tempted to stay inside and do a dvd but Sandy was strong and so out we went. She, Bob and I did hill repeats while Karl did his scheduled training. I did a bit better last time we did them but I think a lot of that was the cold. Only did 4 repeats tonight - again, just wanted to get done and get back inside. I also forgot to turn my watch off when we came inside but I'll do 5 minutes of stretching this evening so I'll call that a wash.

Karl made peanut soup and we celebrated his birthday.

strength & stretching (yoga) 1:15:00 [3]
weight:127.8lbs

Yay - made it back to class for the first time in ages. An easy class by Bridget's standards, but my leg muscles were tired by the end. Hopefully I can get to class most Mondays.

hiking 1:30:21 [3] 4.33 mi (20:52 / mi) +270m 17:29 / mi

Hike in the Wiss in the cold. Took a while to warm up. Debated going up into the Adorra Woods section but decided to save it for another day.
