FCE score event.

I had zero motivation and just walked the whole thing. Every time I tried to jog, I just felt miserable so stopped. Not sure what was wrong but just was not at all into it. A shame too because it was a nicely set course.

Note

Went and cheered the runners in the Wissahickon Trail Classic - saw Greg, Wyatt, Clem, Nick, Ben, Karl and Sandy. Did not have any urge to join them!

Just after Sandy went by and another 20 or 30 runners, a mountain biker came by right behind someone. At first I thought maybe he was a sweep, but no, he yelled out "on your right" and passed the runner. The trail at this point gets narrow and steep downhill, so I said something like "you know there are a whole bunch of runners in front of you, right?" thinking there was no way he should be trying to pass them on the trail section that was coming up. He asked what was he supposed to do, he had been trying to get clear of the stragglers and I think I said something like wait 'till they're done and he started yelling at me and told me to mind my own business and took off. I wonder if any of the runners let him pass or just stayed in his way. I don't think he was having a good morning.

Yoga/Pilates 1:15:00 [3]

Went to the Friday afternoon class which I've never done before. Felt ancient as there were all these 12 and 13 year-olds there. Surprisingly, I had a better split than all of them (and mine isn't all that good).

TNT - hike/jog with Eric. Took it very easy; knees not so good.

Great food and conversation afterwards at Clem's.

Core dvd plus pushups (20 before, 15 & 10 in the middle, 10 at the end).

I haven't done it in a long time but it seemed easy. I guess all the pushups were keeping my core strong.

TNT - hike/jog with Sandy and Bob. Legs very dead trying to run two days in a row so we didn't run as much as usual. The loop we did may also be a little longer from Sandy's house than mine. Nice dinner afterwards with Clem, Karl and Nick.

Note

Good thing Sandy volunteered her house for TNT. I got home to no power again. But it was on when I returned after TNT.

The new regular loop. I ran a lot more of it than I was expecting to be able to.

Got home from the Team Trials weekend and about 20 minutes later the power went out. And then came on. And then went out. And this happened repeatedly all evening. Luckily, during one on period, I managed to send the backup files to Valerie so she could do routegadget and winsplits.

And at one point, I decided to go run since I couldn't do much else with no power and I hadn't really had any exercise all weekend (despite Pete and Lex's best efforts). I was disappointed I didn't get out on the map as everyone was raving about it. I will just have to make sure I get there sometime, even if just for a training session.
