orienteering 1:01:13 [3] 4.4 km (13:55 / km) +135m 12:04 / km

Green course at Governor Dick - a new DVOA map. Several 30-60 second errors when I was too high or too low but reasonably clean. Very slow going since there was rock underfoot just about everywhere.

map hiking 6:00:00 [1]

HR course setting. Put out some more streamers and made map notes. I wasn't tired until the last half hour or so. Felt a bit isolated out in some places and wondered how long it would take someone to find me if something happened.

trail 34:22 [3]

A little disappointed because I actually felt reasonably good and was sure I'd be under 34. Next time.

trail 34:00 [3]

Trail loop with Sandy A. Time is an estimate had I run the whole loop. I didn't start my watch until the horse stables where I met Sandy and we stopped at the horse stables on the way back. I timed the walk home and used that to estimate what I might have run had I run both of those short sections. So, a pretty good time for the loop.

Sandy could easily keep up with me by walking the uphills and running the flats and downs.

Want to get it under 32. Seemed like an impossible goal when I started running the loop a few weeks ago, but now seems doable if I work at it.

hiking 51:00 [3]

TNT - Indian hike with an occasional jogged section. Sandy, Jim and Kolya were in our group while Karl and Clem ran on their own. Sandy is going to be leaving me in the dust in another week or two. Great to see her recovered from the injuries and surgery.
